Judicial Intern Opportunity Program Supplemental Stipend
In 2008, the California Bar Foundation is providing a supplemental stipend of $1,000 to first- or second-year minority and/or financially disadvantaged law students who are placed as judicial interns in the summer of 2008 through the American Bar Association's Judicial Intern Opportunity Program (JIOP). JIOP is a full-time, six-week minimum, summer internship program that places minority and/or financially disadvantaged students for state or federal judges in participating cities. The Foundation seeks to provide additional financial support to JIOP interns with financial need who are placed with California judges, with a preference given to interns currently attending California law schools and/or with California ties.
