Giving to the Foundation
To help build a better justice system for all Californians, the California Bar Foundation relies significantly on the charitable contributions of individuals, law firms, corporations, and other foundations. In 2006, about 55 percent of the Foundation's revenues came from donations from these sources. We thank the more than 34,000 donors who have contributed to the Foundation since its founding in 1990. In particular, we appreciate the support of the thousands of California attorneys who make a voluntary contribution each year when they pay their California State Bar membership fees California State Bar membership fees and of the early members of our Fellows Program, who we recognize as critical supporters during the Foundation's formative years. We invite you to join this committed group in supporting the Foundation's many important programs by making a financial contribution today. You may donate via in the following ways:
We recognize all donors in the Foundation's Annual Report. In addition, donors who contribute annual gifts of at least $250 for individuals and $2,500 for law firms and corporations become members of the Foundation's Leadership Circle, receiving additional recognition as our top supporters. The California Bar Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. All donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible to the extent allowed under the law.
